Global companies struggle to unlock the full potential of data they own because its flow and management are impeded by structural, cultural, regulatory and technological factors. The problems in Asia-Pacific are further accentuated by diverse levels of maturity and regulations across countries. Can MNCs leverage their data, trapped in siloes of countries and business units, as a strategic asset? How can they create enabling conditions – organisation structure, accountability, culture, and technology platforms – to generate business value and manage risks for the entire company?
