The days of smooth sailing are over. With wind gusts picking up and with choppy waters in parts of the Chinese economy, we thought to start off the new year with a peer discussion on streamlining and segmenting China operations to sustainably grow the bottom-line.
Our China CEO Forum member, Gregory Lukasik, who has been leading USG Boral China since 2015, will kick off the session by sharing his story on operating in what is arguably one of the world’s most competitive markets. USG Boral is headquartered in Singapore and is an industry leader in supplying plasterboard walls and materials in Asia. Prior to landing in China, Greg led the Vietnam and India businesses and has held various positions in general management, sales and marketing inside the Lafarge group in the prior two decades with origins in architecture.
To help stimulate, a candid, closed-door discussion on ways to grow the bottom-line in China in the coming years, Greg will talk us through his business in China, which faces a large SOE, a handful of MNCs and many small and nimble local firms as competitors.
