Which calendar do you use?

Our first social dinner of the year will be held at El Willy on Friday, the 12th of April. El Willy is somewhat of an institution in Shanghai. This upbeat restaurant has a fun style and innovation is well-known by food & drink lovers throughout the city.

Dinner will be prepared by Koen Vessies, executive chef at el Willy, and managing partner with the El Willy Fun F & B Group. Koen, a 33-year old Dutchman, knew from a very young age what he wanted to do and at 13, took a job at a restaurant in his local small town to help the chef every night washing lettuce and peeling shrimp.

Fast forward 10 years and Koen became Chef de Partie at the iconic Burj Al Arab in Dubai after that Koen worked for Gordon Ramsay in Sardinia. 8 years later, Koen landed in Shanghai and the rest is history. Koen partnered up with Willy and became a tour de force together. The el Willy Fun F & B group includes el Willy, Tomatito, and el Ocho in Shanghai, FoFo and La Paloma in Hong Kong, Tomatito Manila, Tomatito Saigon and Bink in the Hague)

As always, our dinner parties expose our members to new (& familiar) where shop talk makes way for a celebration of life, food and enduring friendships.
