Q4 Asia Forecast Update
We will be hosting virtual and one in-person session (in Singapore) for the Q4 Asia Forecast Update. A brief description is below.
Asia Forecast – Riding out 2023
The headwinds for 2023 are building with global demand expected to slump and financial volatility likely to rise. Most of Asia/Pac has been resilient in H2’22, with local demand rebounding as COVID-19 has faded. 2023 will be tougher. Over the last year we’ve argued that the region will be resilient, with risks contained and local demand lifting. In our Q4 update, we’ll look at how the region will handle a sharper global downturn. We’ll examine the fiscal and monetary space to contain risks and bolster demand in each market before looking at the capacity for consumers and corporates to sustain or lift their demand. Overall, our view remains optimistic but it’s time to understand how deep a downside scenario might be.
