Q1 Asia Forecast Update
A year ago, few of us thought COVID-19 would be as bad as it turned out to be. Our challenge in March will be estimating the speed and scale of the recovery. In our early 2021 forum debates, manufacturing members have noted shortages across their supply chains as global restocking kicks in. That hints at a strong upturn, and with big stimulus efforts continuing in some countries and gains in vaccination, demand could rise quickly by mid-2021. After outlining our main scenario of a steady 2021 recovery we will look at how an upside risk scenario might play out across industries and economies.
