India’s elections are underway and are expected to usher in a second 5-year term for PM Modi and his BJP-led government. Modi’s first term changed the rhetoric of government but barely moved the needle on growth and opportunity. Change in India has always been frustratingly hard, but Modi’s second term is shaping up as a make or break moment for the world’s second largest emerging market.

Adit Jain is the founder of IMA India, which has some 2,000 forum members across six cities. For 25 years, he has been a leading commentator on Indian politics, the market, and corporate strategy. He has chaired numerous government roundtables with India’s political leaders and his annual strategy roundtables for the India CEO and CFO Forums are legendary for their debates (and their parties).

Adit will join our Asia Management Forum on 15 May to outline the challenges facing Modi in his second term, and to highlight the sectors where gains are likely. Several forum members will also comment on their own experiences in India and their plans for growth.
