Implications from the US Midterm Elections for MNCs in China
If October is the month of China politics with the Party Congress, November is definitely the month of US politics with the midterm elections. A tough stance on China has been one of the only bipartisan consensuses, but what would it mean if Republicans score a resounding victory in regaining control of Congress?
Please join us with Jim McGregor at 8:00-9:00 am on Tuesday, November 22nd online via Zoom to discuss the outlook of the US-China relationship after the US midterm and after potentially, the first in-person presidential meeting between Biden and Xi; particularly what that means for MNCs.
Jim is the chairman of APCO Worldwide, Greater China, and a member of the IMA China CEO Forum. He is one of the most recognized US analysts and writers on business in China. He is the former CEO of Dow Jones & Company in China and the Wall Street Journal bureau chief in China and Taiwan. He was awarded a Bronze Star and The Purple Heart medals in his early life as a US army soldier in Vietnam which turned out to be the pre-chapter of his lifetime devotion to Asia.
