Earlier this month, S & P Global Ratings came out with a report citing China’s “debt iceberg of titanic credit risks”. As such, we thought it’s time for an ad-hoc session and are delighted to be hosting a breakfast discussion with Dinny McMahon to dive into this topic area with our CFO peer group.
Dinny McMahon is a Fellow at MacroPolo, an initiative of the in-house think tank of the Paulson Institute at the University of Chicago. Dinny is former Wall Street Journal reporter and the Author of ‘China’s Great Wall of Debt: Shadow Banks, Ghost Cities, Massive Loans, and the End of the Chinese Miracle’, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in March 2018. More of Dinny’s work can be read by clicking here.
We’ll be delighted to be taken through a safari tour of China’s debt economics, present where mounting debt problems are having the significant impact and demonstrate the structural deficiencies that are hurting the Chinese economy.
