John Gruetzner has lived and worked in China for over 20 years. John is responsible for Intercedent's trade and development practice worldwide, and also oversees Intercedent’s operations in Asia. John designs and implements business development strategies for companies in telecommunications, financial services, and resources. Prior to joining Intercedent, John was Manager, China for the Canada China Trade Council in Beijing. John has contributed articles on international marketing to many publications, and is a regular speaker in the region.

Alan Reid has lived and worked in China and Hong Kong since 1985. Alan has significant experience in conducting business in both countries, serving as Senior Trade Commissioner and Minister Commercial with the Australian Embassy in Beijing from 1992 until 1995. Following his time at the embassy, Alan joined Foster’s China, serving as COO responsible for all management issues for three joint venture breweries operated by Fosters. Since 1998, Alan Reid has been involved full time in providing advisory services in China with a particular emphasis on formulating and implementing successful business strategies for foreign companies in the fast changing China market. Alan is fluent in Mandarin and resides in Beijing.
